Within full height shutters we offer the divider rail option — a horizontal bar across the middle of the panel that lets you angle the top louvers separately from the bottom (for example, top open for daylight, bottom closed for privacy). Without the divider rail, all louvers angle together. Material choices: real wood, faux wood, composite. Louver sizes: 2.5-inch through 4.5-inch.
Hidden tilt rods (operated by pushing one louver instead of a visible front rod) are common on full height shutters and give the cleanest look. Visible front tilt rods are more traditional and match older homes well.
