Lift mechanisms include push-up (raise by pushing bottom rail directly) and spring-assist (a tensioner inside the headrail makes operation easier for taller blinds). Sizes have practical limits — very wide or very heavy blinds get harder to operate cordless and may need motorization instead.
Cordless is available with the same fabric, finish, and slat-size options as corded versions. Top-down-bottom-up cordless is available on some lines for windows where you want daylight from the top while the bottom stays private — operates via two grip handles, no cords.
